Play Arcade Mode or play online to win Player Points. The following amounts of points unlock additional characters.

• 2000 – Akuma
• 4000 – Sentinel
• 6000 – Hsien-Ko
• 8000 – Taskmaster

Character Art

Perform the following actions to unlock character artwork.

• Character 3-D Model – Perform the final blow on Galactus with a character to unlock his or her Model
• Character Bio – Perform the final blow on Galactus with a character to unlock his or her Bio
• Character Ending – Perform the final blow on Galactus with a character to unlock his or her Ending
• First Piece of Character Art – Beat Mission Mode assignment with a character to unlock his or her Art
• Second Piece of Character Art – Perform the final blow on Galactus with a character to unlock his or her Art
• Special Ending – Lose Final Stage of Arcade Mode
• Third Piece of Character Art – Perform the final blow on Galactus with a character to unlock his or her Art
• Special 3-D Model – Complete Arcade Mode with Every Character
• Special Bio – Complete Arcade Mode with Every Character

Character License Cards

Perform the following actions to unlock Licenses for each character.

• 1st License Card – Beat Arcade Mode with a character to unlock this License
• 2nd License Card – Beat Arcade Mode with a character on Very Hard to unlock this License
• 3rd License Card – Complete five Missions with a character to unlock this License
• 4th License Card – Complete all missions with a character to unlock this License
• 5th License Card – Use a character 30 times

License Cards

Perform the following actions to unlock Licenses.

• Airborne Fighter – Pull off an air combo
• All Nine PP Titles – Earn 100,000 PP
• All Ten Onlne License Titles – Win 200 Matches
• Bring It On! – Perform 30 counterhits
• Burnin’ Up! – Win with a Hyper Combo 50 times
• Cooling Down – Win a match with a chip damage hit while opponent is blocking
• First Hit Wins – Get a first hit bonus 50 times
• I ain’t done yet! – Win while X-Factor is active
• Just As Planned – Win 10 matches with a judgement
• Reading Your Mind – Pull off a Team Air Combo
• Schemer – Win ten times with a chip damage hit while opponent is blocking
• Win with experience – Perform a team air counter

Stage Art

Perform the following actions to unlock stage artwork.

• Danger Room – Beat Arcade Mode
• The Daily Bugle – Beat Arcade Mode twice
• Metro City – Beat Arcade Mode three times
• Demon Village – Beat Arcade Mode four times
• Kattlelox Island – Beat Arcade Mode five times
• Hand Hideout – Beat Arcade Mode six times
• S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier – Beat Arcade Mode seven times
• Asgard – Beat Arcade Mode eight times
• Tricell Laboratory – Beat Arcade Mode nine times
• Fate of the Earth – Beat Arcade Mode ten times

Opening Movies

There are 4 opening movies, one of which is the default movie. The other 3 are unlocked by earning Player Points.

• Movie 2 – 15000 PP
• Movie 3 – 30000 PP
• Movie 4 – 60000 PP
